2008 Day 3 - Balboa Cafe

By now it should come as a surprise to no one that 7b7b day three took place at SF's Most Infamous Cougar Den, more commonly known as the Balboa Cafe. This breezy Cow Hollow hangout for the well-heeled offered up quality people watching, famous burgers on baguettes and a new signature drink - The Pain in the Ass.

Did anyone stop and think whether cougars have spots? No matter.

Photos here.

How are there no comments yet?!?!?!? Come on people!

Balboa Cafe wasn't my favorite place, it did however reveal to me the pleasure of a "Dark and Stormy". Ginger beer, lime juice and dark rum.

But now I know two more places that I might actually revisit in my 'hood.

Go 7b7n!!!!!

fine...i'll add a comment. actually, make that a question:

if older women who are lookin' to score a younger man are called "cougars", then what does one call an older man lookin' to score with a younger woman? (besides "50% of the dudes at Balboa Cafe".)

one suggestion i heard on Wednesday night was "letch". not bad, not bad...

Letch is so negative. Panther? No. I'd say Prowler...but that has negative connotation also. What does the almighty Google say? ummmm, no response I need to work on my googling skills. I did however find this: http://www.amazon.com/Cougar-Guide-Older-Dating-Younger/dp/1552976351

There is only a need to coin a term when it is uncommon or unfamiliar or warrants a special description: Hence the need for "Cougar". Megan, the situation you describe is (for right or wrong) normal: Hence, no need for a term. Bummer I could not participate in the pub crawl, but I reliving it as we speak. Nice work, guys.
